ग्रामीण महिलाओं ने उठाया गिधवा-परसदा पक्षी विहार की स्वच्छता का बीड़ा
बेमेतरा। जिले के नवागढ़ विकासखड के सुदूरवर्ती ग्राम-गिधवा-परसदा एवं मुरकुटा जलाशयों तथा उनके आसपास के क्षेत्रों को स्वच्छ रखने का बीड़ा यहां की महिलाओं ने उठा लिया है। महिलाएं अलग-अलग पालियों में यहां झाड़ू और टोकनी लेकर पालीथीन, पन्नी और डिस्पोजेबल ग्लास-प्लेट उठाती हैं और उन्हें निर्धारित स्थल पर डम्प करती हैं। यहां की आर्द्रभूमि (वेटलैण्ड) और जलाशय में नवम्बर से फरवरी तक देशी विदेशी पक्षियों का डेरा लगता है। बड़ी संख्या में लोग अब इन्हें देखने के लिए यहां पहुंचने लगे हैं।गिधवा परसदा में जलीय एवं थलीय प्रवासी पक्षियों का डेरा दशकों से लग रहा है। अब तक गांव वाले व्यक्तिगत रूप से इनकी सुरक्षा करते थे। उन्होंने शासन से सहयोग की अपील की थी। शासन ने इस क्षेत्र का सर्वे किया और इस वर्ष यहां प्रथम पक्षी महोत्सव “हमर चिरई-हमर चिन्हारी” का आयोजन भी किया गया। इसके साथ ही यहां बड़ी संख्या में पर्यटक आने लगे हैं। पर इसके साथ ही शुरू हो गई है एक अन्य समस्या। आबादी से दूर इस निर्जन क्षेत्र में पर्यटकों के साथ ही प्लास्टिक, पालीथीन, कुरकुरे-चिप्स के पैकेट, तम्बाकू-गुटखे के खाली पाउच, डिस्पोजेबल ग्लास और पानी-दारू की बोतलें भी पहुंचने लगी हैं। लोग इन्हें जहां तहां फेंककर चले जाते हैं। यहां की ग्रामीण महिलाओं ने इस कूड़े को समेटना शुरू किया है ताकि पर्यावरण एवं पक्षियों को किसी तरह का नुकसान न पहुंचे।
उल्लेखनीय है कि यहां की आर्द्रभूमि पक्षियों के लिए अनुकुल पायी गई है। पक्षियों को यहां भरपूर भोजन उपलब्ध होता है। ग्राम मुरकुट की महिलाएं जलाशय के आस-पास के परिवेश को साफ सुथरा एवं स्वच्छ रखने के उद्देश्य से हाथ मे झाडू लेकर सफाई का बीड़ा उठाया है। शीघ्र यहां ईको-टुरिज्म को बढ़ावा दिया जायेगा।
