‘Independence Festival’ Commences at SRG

independence-day-SRGIBhilai. Sanjay Rungta Group of Institutions initiated to celebrate ‘Azadi 70—Yaad Karo Kurbani’ as a part of its Weekly Independence Day Celebrations. A gamut of Cultural and Sports Activities would be organised by the Rungta Group in this week. Based on the blue-print prepared by HRD Ministry Government of India, GD Rungta College of Engineering and Technology, celebrated Quit India Day with patriotic zeal and fervour.
To commemorate the lives laid by the ‘Unsung Heroes’, a host of Cultural Events were organised. Students were made aware of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre which narrates the history of the Unsung Heroes. Many Patriotic Songs were sung enthusiastically by the students Individually and in Groups. It recollected India’s history of Great Heroes who laid their lives for India’s freedom.
Group Chairman Sanjay Rungta concerted on the need to evoke the spirit of nationalism and patriotism, especially in youth, as it would create a better future. Group Director Saket Rungta commemorated the sacrifices made by the ‘heroes’ who could not find pages in the history of India’s struggle for freedom. Furthermore he concerted on the need to develop values in the
present generation to uphold the solidarity of the nation. Dr. P. S. Bokare Principal RSR Rungta College of Engineering & Technology, present on the occasion ,expressed his gratitude to the Great Indian Leaders who fought for India’s freedom.
Dr. P.K. Talapatra, Principal GD Rungta College of Engineering and Technology paid tribute to the Unsung heroes and expressed his views on the dire need for evoking the spirit of patriotism in the present generation to strengthen the integrity of the nation.
