RPS Classical Dancers Shine in Odisha and Sri Lanka

RPS Bhilai KathakBhilai. Two students of the Rungta Public School have won laurels for the city with their brilliant Kathak performances. Indian Culture Center Colombo, Sri Lanka organized a cultural programme, Bharat Sanskriti Yatra on 8 th September ‘17. Pihu Jain of Class VIII participated in Kathak Dance Competition and bagged ‘Future Talent’ Award for her mesmerizing performance. Similarly, India Theatre Olympiad Cuttack, Odisha organized the festival of Indian Art & Culture in August ‘17.In this festival,  Solo Classical Dance, Kathak was performed by Shreya Chopra of Class X and bagged  ‘National Nritya Shree’ award for her excellent talent and extra- ordinary performance and brilliant achievement in the field of Kathak. Pihu is a desciple of Classical Nritya Guru Dr Rakhi Roy whereas Shreya Chopra is a student of Kathak Guru Upasana Tiwari.Both the students provided a visual treat to the audience with their amazing performance. They enthralled the audience with their well choreographed Kathak sequences and provided thorough entertainment with their graceful and energetic moves. It was the event when these two students took Indian Classical dance to the stage and won appreciation from the audience.  CEO of Rungta Public School Mr. Arup Mukhopadhyay congratulated the winner and the dance teacher, Ms. Amrita Agrawal. He appreciated their efforts and wished them for adding one more feather to the RPS cap. Further he encouraged them to participate more in such competition to enhance their talents.
