Hindi Literary Contest Organised in RPS

RPS-HindiBhilai. Inter–House Hindi Literary Contest was organized by Tagore House in Rungta Public School on 12 th August, 2016. Various literary activities were conducted to test the ability of the students from classes II to X. The participants gave their best performance and gave tough competition to each other. The Contests was conducted in four different categories for the students of different classes. Classes II, II and IV had Recitation Contest on the themes Nature and Patriotism. For classes V and VI, Story Writing Contest was held is a stipulated, in which the students had to develop a story based on the given hints and guidelines provided. For classes VII and VIII, Declamation was held on the topic ‘Atankwad Vishwa Shanti Ke Liye Ghatak hai’ Classes IX and X presented their views on the Debatable topic-‘Make in India Se Hi Bharat Ka Vikas Sambhav hai”.
The contestants were judged by three eminent judges who have contributed immensely to the teaching of Hindi Literature. The judges were Mr. S.N.Singh, Dr. (Mrs.) Shraddha Mishra and Mrs. Niti Khare.
In his address Mr. S.N.Singh said that language is a very effective medium of communication and expression, Hindi should be given due importance. Students should explore the deep ocean of Hindi Literature and come out with the riches in the form of great creative works of some of the greatest writers and poets. Dr. (Mrs.) Shraddha Mishra congratulated all the speakers for their good performance and gave certain valuable tips to improve their diction and oratory skills. The Principal Director of the School, Dr. (Mrs.) Ranjana Yadav, speaking on the occasion stressed on the proper and correct usage of words, modulation and intonation which would bring out the true essence and beauty of this language. The Contest concluded with the National Anthem. The result of the contest is as follows:-
In Recitation Contest, from Class II Teresa House bagged the first position. Tagore secured the Second position and the Third position was bagged by kalam House. In Class III Kalam house secured the First position and the Second position was jointly claimed by Tagore and Raman House. In class VI the First, Second and Third positions were secured by Tagore, Kalam and Teresa House respectively. In Declamation, the houses claiming First, Second and Third positions are Teresa, Kalam and Tagore House.
In Debate, houses claiming positions in favour of the motion are First- Kalam, Second – Raman and Third -Tagore . Speaking against the motion, Tagore House came First followed by Raman and Kalam Houses securing the second and Third positions.
